Steam power plants with heat batteries for CO2-neutral energy supply

Steam has historically played a major role as an energy source in breweries. In recent years, the low-temperature concept has prevailed. The brewery benefits from the fact that a heating medium temperature of 115 °C is completely sufficient. An additional energy storage unit reduces consumption peaks. Such systems can achieve a specific energy requirement of less than 20 kWh per hectolitre of beer.
