AI-supported quality control of malting barley

Continuous quality control of the germination parameters of malting barley is an essential part of a successful malting process. A newly developed, AI-supported method can quickly and easily predict key germination parameters: germination capacity, germination energy, water sensitivity, and germination index. The authors Jens Varnskühler, Konrad Wellmann, Johanna Lingen, Dr. Katja Sperber, and Prof. Klaus Mummenhoff from seedalive GmbH present the rapid test.
